Lions, Tigers and Bo Bunny-- OH MY!

I've been on a Bo Bunny kick lately.  And honestly, when I first saw the Bo Bunny Petal Pushers line, I didn't think I'd be buying any of it.  But, this line just has all of my favorite colors!  The pink, green, teal, yellow, black--- I just love it all.  Thank you LSS, Sweet Memories Scrapbooks, for feeding my addiction!

This layout was so fun to make.
I used a screen to paint the background with different colors.  Love it!
I also made the flowers myself!  I used this tutorial HERE from my friend Kelly and then I added the paper circles on top of the ribbon.  Super easy!

Here are two more Bo Bunny layouts HERE.

help! I'm drowning in ribbon!!

I think every scrapbooker has most likely been faced with the challenge of trying to figure out the best way to store or organize their ribbon.  I've seen some people use jars.  Some use close pins and then store them in jars.  Some buy manufactured products like the ribbon bag or ribbon holders to get their stash under control.

Then I saw the way my friend Sherri had her ribbon organized.  We were scrapping at her house and I saw a collection of turquoise ribbon she had grouped together and I thought she had bought it that way!! I think that's just automatic proof that because she grouped her ribbon the way she did, it made it look like something you wanted to pick up and use!

So, to recreate what Sherri did, I started off by cutting up cereal boxes into 3 inch by 6 inch rectangles.  What I love about this method of storage is that it cost me nothing to make!

And, using my new Tonic Paper Trimmer made it fun too. :)

Next, I grouped all of my ribbon together by color and started wrapping the ribbon around the cereal box pieces.  I didn't worry about covering up the logo on the opposite side.

For spools of ribbon that I had a lot of, I just put some of the ribbon on the card and put the spool back in my ribbon basket.  This new organization is mainly for portability, so I don't really feel like I need to have all of the ribbon on the card.

Ahhh.... organized ribbon by color.  This makes me happy.

Goodbye trash!

I have a new scrapbooking friend...
Meet my new Tonic Paper Trimmer:

I was so excited that I decided my paper trimmer and I had to dance!

I also love my Tonic Paper Trimmer because it makes a wonderful Koolaid and popcorn holder.  Not what it's intended for?  What...?  It's so convenient though.  :(

Mother's Day Gift

A very belated post, but here is the Mother's Day Gift I made for my mom.  It is a mini album about the last family reunion we had in 2008.

Check out more pictutes on my two peas account!

Check out what Katie did with the same Maya Road mini album.

I love the seeing the way that other people use the same materials!

Happy Birthday, Little Blog

Wow, just by chance, I was scrolling through my blog (not very hard 'cause there aren't many entries, are there?) and I realized that my first blog entry was a year old today! Wow. I can't lie, I wish I'd devoted more time to my blog, but at least I've started one. Baby steps people, baby steps!

To celebrate my blog's bday here are some layouts I've completed for my LSS, Sweet Memories Scrapbooking.

"ring pop kisses"

"show me your scrap 'stache"

I can't wait to scrapbook some more this weekend! <3

First Feature

Here is my debut on the Sweet Memories Design team... love this store. Even if it is 70 miles away from my house... it's worth the drive for the people, inspiration and the atmosphere.
